Finding the right bike tyres is so important and first of all you will need to consider size.

Check the sidewall of your current tyre to find out the exact size. You will probably see a number pairing such as 700x23. The first number (700) corresponds with the diameter of the tyre in millimeters. The second (23) is the actual width of the tyre in millimeters. Mountain bike tyres are slightly different in that they will show
a pairing which looks like 26x2.0. This is the bead to bead diameter 26 inches by a width of 2 inches.

Try not to go too far from the size you currently have as this can have an impact on tyre wear, performance and overall durability. You can however choose a slightly different sizing to alter the stability, grip and other factors.

Before you make your choice of tyres, it's also important to consider the types of terrain on which you will be riding. Therefore it's important to chose
the most suitable tread for your requirements.
